John Eales captained the Australian Rugby team to their 1999 World Cup win, and has built a reputation for outstanding leadership capability based on strong values.
Since his retirement from rugby, he has been building, with his business partners, a company which helps organisations link their culture to their strategy. An individual is assessed and developed in line with the desired values of their organisation. Many corporations seeking to provide their leaders with an edge have used John's insight into leadership and teams.
John is a strong believer that one of the non-negotiable elements of great team sustainability is composure. He believes that this is a coachable element through working with the systems, symbols and behaviours of people within the team. Many of the teams that John was a part of were categorised by their composure.
John is a director of QM Technologies, Sports Australia Hall of Fame and consults to BT Financial Group. He is also a columnist with the Australian Financial Review.
